Avatar: The Last Airbender

Welcome to my website for Religion 2812. For this project, I decided to discuss Avatar: The Last Airbender, a show that borrows heavily from Eastern Religions, especially Buddhism, Hinduism, and Daoism. Beyond just exhibiting the religious influences peppered throughout the series, I will also be analysing how media molds its audience, whether that be teaching them or misleading them.

 

The website is laid out so as to briefly explain the world of Avatar, then the religious influences present within the series, followed by how media can affect an audience (with specific references to The Last Airbender).
